I'm making a vow that despite my life predicament right now, being unemployed, attending community college..... I will transfer to this university! And no snobby person will tell me otherwise. I won't allow it ! It's a great university. 🙂

I absolutely would not have chosen any other school over this. I don't regret coming to Cal, though I do have regrets over other aspects about my time here. My first class here was summer 2019, but I officially started undergrad in summer 2021 and graduated in December 2025. I ultimately walked off with 2 degrees: a BS in Microbial Biology and a BA in MCB: Immunology. I'm sure many other people here would feel the same way, but I was very surprised when I got accepted. I did not expect that I had what it took to make it in. Maybe it was meant to be; the first time I ever took a class here was while I was still in high school, and it was IB 131 (upper div anatomy) of all classes. I barely survived that; I guess the admissions people liked that. What's there not to love about Cal? Yes, the classes are hard. That should absolutely be acknowledged. However, it's this difficulty that makes us stronger. I can say that the coursework rigor made me a stronger student, and it helped me with the MCAT. There's a lot of bureaucracy, but that's just life. You learn to deal with the nonsense. Even things like looking for labs/internships get very frustrating (I remember how demoralizing that s

Beautiful campus. Amazing architecture on most buildings. Bell tower was worth $6 for the view & the sound.

Attended our grandsons graduation from the school of engineering and were able to tour the campus. What a great time we had, a what a wonderfully university. Although we were not able to get into great detail with respect to specific buildings, it made a very lasting impression on my wife and me.

Great school. Commencement needs to be better organized. If we pay $21 to park, there should be a shuttle there, not 3 blocks away. No one to help find seats, numbers are faded away. Long list of forbidden items and then I see people carrying items on that list.
